Uplorry, Singlish Slang.
A word-for-word translation of the Hokkien words 'ki(2) chia(1)', meaning to get on the (funeral) car; refers to the loading of a coffin into a funeral car. Traditonally, lorries were used instead of modern casket cars or minivans.
Commonly used to describe the passing of a person, or an unfortunate event.
